Looking for a fishing boat that will NEVER be troubled by pirates? Then pop along to Namibia on October 25, when the country’s Ministry of Works and Transport is selling a 55-metre warship. The decommissioned Lt-Gen Dino Hamaambo (I’m sure you can think of something more fishy: suggestions welcome) is a corvette-class warship, built in 1954. It was donated to the Namibia Defense Force by the Brazilian Navy in 2004. I. It’s been stripped of its weapons – but if you were a Somalian pirate, would you take a chance? Story here.
