A book on Angler’s Paradise, the Devon, south-west England, fishery run by the irrepressible Zyg Gregorek, has just been published by Little Egret Press. The book chronicles the early days of the 170-acre fishery, when it was merely one empty pond, to its current state of 17 lakes containing everything from golden tench to record orfe. The book has chapters from many who have fished the lakes (and suffered from Zyg’s home-made wines), from Rod Hutchinson and Keith Arthur, to Bob Roberts, Des Taylor and Rob Maylin. The royalties from the book are to be donated to a charity chosen by Zyg. The cloth edition costs £28.95 and the leather edition of 50, £185, Details here.
