This amazing display of taxidermy won a gold medal at the 1883 International Fisheries Exhibition, and collectors will have the chance to buy it on March 28. It’s one of the highlights at Angling Auctions next online sale. The display, containing nine fish, was mounted by the famed firm of John Cooper and may well set a record for a piece of taxidermy at auction. But if you’re thinking of buying it, be aware that the case is 62in high and 36in wide – and it carries an estimate of £15,000-£25,000.
