One of the world’s leading sports brands, Dunlop Sports, is to sell tackle globally. The company is offering ansd entry-level range of kit that will be launched in the UK at first, before being taken to other parts of the world. Its frontman in the UK will be actor Robson Green, whose series Extreme Fishing has proved a surprise success, As well as being sold online, the Dunlop range will be available in the UK through Sports Direct’s 400 retail outlets and specialist high street stores. Dunlop has been researching the fishing market for a year, an interview with its product manager Nick Fox reveals in the latest issue of Angling International. Green has signed a multi-year deal to promote the brand, Fox said: “His love of fishing has helped to take the sport to the masses, and that’s our goal with Dunlop’s fishing range.” Those who have seen the way that Robson Green treats his catches in Extreme Fishing might have a slightly different view…
