An 1891 4.5in brass Hardy Perfect was the highlight of Angling Auctions‘ sale at Chiswick, London, on Saturday, selling for a hefty £10,500 (excluding 15% buyers’ premium). A 2in Frederick Skinner Archimedian brass trout reel (pictured) reached £7000, while two cased fish, a Homer carp and a 25lb 6oz Cooper pike caught in 1951 from Connemara’s Lough Corrib, both went for £3000.
