Kayak anglers, looking for ever greater challenges, are now catching marlin from their boats. The clip here shows a group of kayak anglers with two marlin hooked. The larger takes almost five hours to land and takes him 11 miles from where it is hooked. Though the fish are returned, I’m a little uneasy about playing a fish for that long. Still, there is some impressive footage of the hooked fish jumping close to the kayak. Watch the video here. On the other hand, there’s a danger that extreme fishing can go a step too far. How long before kayak nuts are thinking: “Bet I could hook and land a great white…” What do you think?
