A wealth of tackle, pictures, books, fishing days and clothing are on offer at the American Museum of Fly Fishing’s online auction. The sale, which ends on December 20, has some very special items, including a watercolour by John Swan (pictured); prints by Russell Chatham and Ogden Pleissner; a vintage leather fly wallet; a 6-weight Orvis bamboo rod; Columbia shirts and a two-person guided trip on the Little Red River in Arkansas. The best of the trips, though, is surely a fishing holiday for two in Wyoming that includes six nights at the La Prele Fishing fishing and Hunting Preseve during peak blue-ribbon season. You get full access to 850 acres of private land and more than two miles of trout streams, where there are no stocked fish. Full details of the auction here.
