A reproduction of the diary of Denys Watkins-Pitchford (BB) has just been published. BB Diary and Sketchbook 1922 is taken from a diary that the naturalist, author and illustrator wrote when he was just 17. Not sure I’d want my teenage diary published for the world, but BB can’t do much about it, as he died in 1990. You suspect he would have been acutely embarrassed, but such is the demand for anything related to BB that the 675 copies will surely sell out very rapidly. It costs £35 and has been sympatetically edited by Bryan Holden, a founder member of the BB Society. You can find out more about it or order it here.
