Rare Hardy Perfects like the 1891 example pictured, a batch of Kentucky reels, a Coxon Aerial, oils by JB Russell, a Skinner Archmidean reel and a Hardy No1 drop knife are among the 650 lots on offer at Angling Auctions’ next sale on Saturday (September 29). Many of the items will sell for four figures, but for those whose pockets aren’t quite so deep, there are plenty of other collectable rods, reels and paraphernalia. Even if you’re not a collector, it’s worth going along just to admire our angling heritage. You can view the catalogue here and leave bids until the morning of the sale. The auction starts at midday and takes place at Chiswick Town Hall, west London.
